Painting wood veneer is a very important process. If you want to paint naturally and beautifully, it is necessary to do an additional layer of work before painting. How can I apply good paint?
Step 1: Apply primer
Confirm that the wood veneer is not contaminated or warped before applying primer. Before that, we also need to clean the dust and dirt on the surface of the furniture.
Tips: Before applying the primer on the wood veneer, you can first use sandpaper to push it over to check for any defects. You can choose sandpaper to polish the surface of the board or wood line.
Step 2: Machine grinding
Grind the hard primer with a machine to make the wood veneer finer.
Tips: When grinding, try to follow the wood grain as much as possible, in the same direction, in order to avoid any random grain.
Step 3: Apply primer again, grind manually, and repeat twice
Tips: At this point, the surface of the wood veneer is already relatively fine, and when grinding, it will be replaced with a finer, at least 320 grit sandpaper.
Tips: The larger the number of sandpaper, the more detailed it represents. After drying thoroughly, use fine sandpaper to polish the rough part of the toner, which is very crucial.
Step 4: Apply transparent topcoat
Tips: Spraying can avoid brush marks and give the wood veneer a more delicate feel.
Tips: Before applying paint, it is necessary to do a good job of cleaning to avoid residual white powder during polishing, which may cause contamination marks.
Step 5: Paint the wood veneer, complete!
Acceptance 1: There should be no sagging on the painted surface. (The phenomenon of vertical flow refers to the downward flow of paint under the influence of gravity, which in turn affects its aesthetics.)
Acceptance 2: If there are paint blockages or wooden skin defects, the relevant defects must be reprocessed and polished and repaired after completion.
